Yesterday, Glenn Beck went on a ‘rant’ about the need to defend and preserve the Constitution being the key to ‘saving’ America.  He is wrong!  The key to understanding the principles of liberty is not found in the Constitution.  They are found in the Declaration of Independence.  The Constitution is just the “how” of America; the “what” and the “why “of this nation is found in the Declaration.  But it takes some effort to understand why this is.  Unfortunately, our schools not only don’t teach it anymore, they teach misinformation based on lies and intended to prevent students from learning the history behind the Declaration of Independence and how the principles and ideals expressed by it were used to create the Constitution.  And although this information is readily available to those who want to find it, the average American doesn’t bother to look for or read it.  Our society has all night for television, Xbox and their smart phone, but little time for the principles that make all those things possible.  Well, if you care to learn, I’ll do my best to provide you with the Cliff Notes version of what you need to know to understand why the Constitution cannot and will not protect us. FUNDAMENTALS OF NATURAL LAW: Who Feeds You, Rules You

It has become something of an accepted maxim that income inequality is an evil or injustice.  What’s more, it is equally accepted that those on the low end of the income inequality re somehow victims who bear no responsibility in their economic situation.  Now, set aside the fact that these notions are decidedly Marxist in their perspective and, as such, suffers from all the internal fallacies as Marxism.  Just, for the sake of argument, let’s accept the assertion that income inequality is an evil totally outside the control of those whom it affects.  Let’s look at what this means in terms of the Marxist solution of wealth redistribution.  But first, let’s accept a simple assumption: that whoever feeds you is the person who controls you.  This is simple human nature, for, without food, you cannot sustain your life.  So, if you rely on someone other than yourself to sustain your life, that person effectively rules over and owns your life.  Now, let’s look at how redistribution of wealth is connected to this assumption.

You’ll have to excuse me, but it is time to really climb on my soap box (which usually means this will be one of my better posts).  The impetus for this post comes from a comment on another blog.  I have heard the notion that was expressed in this comment many times, and it is always uttered out of arrogance and ignorance – because it is demonstrably false.  The notion is that morality cannot be legislated because every individual has their own ideas of right and wrong.  Well, it may be true that every individual has their own idea of what is right and wrong, but it is equally true that the majority of us are wrong!  The problem is that morality is eternal and universal: what is right is right for everyone, everywhere and at all times.  The same applies to what is wrong.  If this is not true, then there is nothing than can be said to be right or wrong: only what can be forced on others.  And from this comes the obvious conclusion that, if there is one eternal, universal moral law, it most certainly can be legislated. Almost a decade ago, I started reading into an aspect of history about which – before that time – I was totally ignorant.  I thought I knew American history, especially that related to the 20th Century, but I didn’t.  And what little I did know, I didn’t understand.  Since that time, I have been working hard to catch up on everything I can learn about the American Progressive movement – especially its European origins.  And that has also complimented my research into the founding of this nation, especially the centuries leading up to the American Revolution.  Fortunately, but for different reasons, both the founders and the Progressives wrote prolifically about their ideas and reasoning.  The founders did it so future generations would know and understand the foundational principles of a free and self-governing society, while the Progressives did it because evil cannot help boasting.  Sadly, too few recognize these boasts and, before I started studying them, I was among those who chalked them up to ‘gaffs’ and incompetence.  They’re not, and I can demonstrate.  Let me start by reminding you of this seemingly ‘out-of-touch’ comment by Joe Biden from the 2008 election cycle: Continue reading “PIECES OF THE PUZZLE: Explaining those ‘Gaffs’” →

Rush mentioned a story today that details how Obama has just ‘directed’ the IRS to ‘punish’ any business that fires workers so they can escape the draconian mandates of Obamacare – unless that business agrees to swear that it did not fire those workers because of Obamacare.  Rush then claimed that this is pure Marxism.  He was wrong.  Marxism does not work this way because, under Marxism, the government owns all businesses.  So, if someone doesn’t do as the State directs, they get shot.  What we are actually seeing is a modern incarnation of Fascism.  Under Fascism, the State ‘allows’ certain businesses to exist – so long as their owners do as the State directs.  These businesses are then kept in check by the State through the use of laws such as the one in the story Limbaugh mentioned.  Here’s the link: Continue reading “TYRANNY IN THE HEADLINES: The American Brownshirts and Gestapo” →

I call this insanity for a simple reason: history has condemned socialism.  No matter how many times it is tried, it has always failed.  It always will.  Socialism cannot work for a simple reason: it contradicts Natural Law.  Yet, no matter how much clear and irrefutable evidence is presented, there are people who insist that socialism is the ideal.  These people insist that the only reason it has not worked is because it has never been tried by ‘the right people.’  The implication here is that all those before were not ‘smart enough’ to make socialism work, but the current round of advocates are.  And there is the insanity.  These people are no smarter than anyone who came before them.  In fact, evidence suggests they may be less intelligent.  They are certainly less wise.  But then, socialism is about one thing and one thing only: control of other people. For many years, I lived calling myself a Christian and thinking I was following Christ’s commands when I really wasn’t./  It wasn’t until I actually started to read and study Scripture and chase after God for His understanding that I started to realize how many things I had believed that were wrong.  Two of the things that I believed and which are not entirely Scriptural were that I am not supposed to judge people and that there is only one Anti-Christ.  Neither is true – not in the sense most Christians believe.  But this is how Satan works: not through obvious acts, but through subtle deception and twisting of God’s word and by just keeping us from knowing the truth.  This is how I came to understand that anti-Christ is actually a spirit and that it has a ‘type.’  And this is how I came to learn that Scripture teaches us we are supposed to judge actions so that we can tell those who are anti-Christ from God’s people.  Still, I do not have any desire to lead anyone astray, so I urge you to consider what I have to say in this post, but to do so in accordance with 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22: Continue reading “TRUTH: Anti-Christ is a Spirit or ‘Type,’ not just a Person” →

As I continue to study the Progressive movement and its many ideological cousins, I have noticed something that seems to be common to the followers in every branch of its family tree.  They all suffer from a total lack of humility.  What’s more, this lack of humility seems to be connected to an assumption that they are smarter than the average person and that this gives them a ‘superior’ understanding of things.  They then assume that, because they are smarter and have a better understanding, they have a moral obligation to save society from itself – even if it has to be done against the will of the people.  After all, the people are too stupid to know what is best for them.  Now, on the surface, this is enough to really anger those who actually are smarter but who are humble enough not to assume they have some duty to rule the lives of other people.  But when you look closer at the source of this self-imposed delusion, it is actually a sad thing because you realize that the majority of these people are actually scared, lacking in self-esteem and desperately seeking approval from the world.  They just react to their insecurity in a way that – historically – tends to lead to tyranny and mass murder.  Here’s a story that illustrates my point: Continue reading “INSANITY IN THE HEADLINES: The Perils of Pride and Self-Delusion” →

I have been trying to explain the process by which a republic is toppled and dictators come to power for some time now.  I keep stressing the need to understand the principles that are in play during this process so we will be able to see the different ways in which they manifest from nation to nation.  This is important because the people who exploit these principles study the process for taking over a government.  They know they have to tailor the processes to the society they are trying to take over.  So, where the villain in one nation might be Jews, it could be ‘the rich’ or ‘Conservatives’ in another nation.  And where the ‘crisis’ that is used to justify central planning and public sacrifice might be a war in one nation, in another, it could be something like economic depression or global warming.  This was all explained in great detail in a book titled “The Road to Serfdom,” by economist, F. A. Hayek. In the movie, The Matrix, there is a scene where the protagonist, Neo, is offered a choice.  He could take a blue pill, in which case, he would fall asleep and wake up back in the fantasy world that had been created to control humanity.  Or he could take the red pill, in which case, he would forever see things the way they truly are.  The blue pill offered an easier life, while the red pill guaranteed struggle but also a chance for true freedom.  This is the choice we all have to make.  The world in which we live is not as it appears, and this is not conspiracy.  The signs are there, you just need to know what you are looking for and where to look for them.  This fantasy world is especially true of our political and economic systems.  None of it is what it appears to be, and I believe the majority of Americans know it.  They sense things are not right, but they also cling to the illusion because they can’t find the courage to face what lies behind the curtain.  I chose the red pill, and while I may not be seeing it all in perfect clarity, I now see things closer to the way they are.  Now I am offering you the chance to see behind the curtain as well.  If you want to remain ignorant and happy, take the blue pill and do not read this post.  But if you want to know more of the truth, take the red pill and keep reading. Recently, venture Capitalist, Tom Perkins, made a comparison between the recent ‘Occupy’ campaign and the Kristallnacht during the NAZI rise to power in 1930’s Germany.  Pressure was immediately brought to bear on him for making the comparison and he has since issued an apology.  But Perkins wasn’t wrong.  Not only should he not have apologized for the comment, he should have pointed out that all the pressure brought to bear on him for having made it was also reminiscent of NAZI tactics in the 1930’s – because it is exactly how they operated.  What is in play here is an attempt to keep Americans ignorant about history so that they will not recognize when it is repeating before their very eyes.  So, here’s what you need to know. Do you know why Progressives called themselves ‘Progressives?’  Well, first, you need to understand that they are Marxist radicals who want to change America into a Socialist State.  Then you need to understand that they knew they couldn’t get Americans to vote for their plan if they were open and honest about it.  But they also knew that Americans are enamored with the idea of ‘progress.’  So they renounced the sudden, violent revolution most Marxists embrace and chose to work slowly, from within the system, changing it into a Socialist State a little at a time.  In other words, they would conduct a slow, ‘Progressive’ revolution.  This way, Americans would think they meant something entirely different when they said they wanted ‘Progress’ and the nation would be more likely to embrace them and their agenda.  And that is exactly why they called themselves Progressives.  Here, look at the definition of the word for yourself: Continue reading “THE PROGRESSIVE LEXICON: “Progress” = a Slow Coup – without the Violence” →
