No matter how many times history condemns Communism, socialism and the welfare State, there has always been somebody new who thinks they can be the first person to make this system work. Well, now we have a Democrat Congressman from Florida claiming that the United States is the first nation to ‘prove’ communism works. If you are one of those who are tired of or reject my comparison of modern America to 1930’s Germany, then you need to read this more than most! I have been trying to show the modern manifestations of the principles that drove the NAZI Party in the 1930’s to show that we – modern America – are traveling the exact same road. This post is intended mostly to offer a word of caution to those who consider themselves to be Christians. I am writing – again – to caution those of you who listen to Glenn Beck. Today, May 20, 2014, at about 8:15 – 8:20 CST, Beck said some things on his radio program that simply are not true and which demonstrate that he is not a Christian – at least, not as Christ and His disciples would understand the term. What’s more, Beck intentionally constructed his words such that you have to either accept them or show yourself to be – essentially – a ‘hater.’ In our culture, this is a very seductive message, but it is still deception that leads people away from God. Unfortunately, if you do not know your Scriptures and basic logic, you can easily miss the deception in what he said. Have you ever noticed that those who push ‘evolution’ and resist ‘creationism’ never seem to apply their belief system to human nature? It’s true. Let me open by saying this up front: I respect Glenn Beck. He has done a great deal to educate this nation, and we owe him a debt for that work. I would go so far to say that I love him, and the people who work for and with him. I even pray for them, but I pray mostly that God will wake them up and rescue them from their delusion. You see, there is a fatal – and I mean spiritually fatal flaw in what he teaches people about right and wrong. I understand than Becks fans will not appreciate this post. If you ask, many will tell you that prophecy is nothing more than a story told by superstitious people. How little do these people realize that, by saying so, they are actually fulfilling prophecy? Which is more important to you: defending your beliefs and desires at all cost, or pursuing and knowing the truth at all cost? I wonder. I know many will say they care more about the truth, but I do not believe the majority who say this actually mean it – not anymore. If they did, then I doubt there would be so many who resist when they are told that we – the United States – are walking down the same road that was traveled in the 1930’s. I have written before to tell you that the President and the top members of this Administration are openly committing treason. No one cares – and this includes the Congress and the American people. If they cared, the Republicans would have impeached these people. If America cared, they would be calling for and would support that impeachment process and would demand a conviction upon penalty of the jobs of those who refused to convict. But this nation has lost the foundation upon which liberty is built: the rule of law. One of the reasons so many skeptics give for not accepting God is that (so they claim) history does not confirm any of the Bible’s stories — especially the stories of events they consider ‘supernatural.’ The problem with this excuse – and that’s what it is: an excuse — the evidence they demand actually exists. It’s just that no one reports it or, if they do, the skeptic rejects it. But that is irrational. In the language of formal logic, the word ‘necessary’ means that something must follow. For example: it is necessary that liquid water be wet. With this principle in mind, we need to understand that being passive does not necessarily mean being weak. Some of the most powerful forces known to man are passive. You can prove this to yourself very easily. Go the nearest wall and push it over. If it doesn’t move, beat it with your fists, or bang your head against it. Does the wall move or punch back? No, yet, if you punched or banged your head against it, you will be injured in the process. Which force was active and which was passive: you hitting or the wall taking the hit? Slavery came to America through the courts. I have written about this before, so I will not go through it again, but, if you will just take the time to look, you will find that slavery was established in the Colonies through court rulings. Nor should you drag the usual accusations of racism into this post. If you will bother to look for yourself, you will also find that one of the first cases that established legal slavery in Colonial America was a black man who sued to own his indentured servant, another black man. After the revolution, the Supreme Court upheld the majority of these cases, thus making slavery legal in the new nation. The Constitution did the same. And this is the primary reasons I have never listened to people who argue that the courts can decide right from wrong by making a ruling. Legal does not mean moral.
