Who is truly ignorant?  Those who accept the actions of others as truth?  Those who accept the words of others as truth?  When words are contradicted by actions taken, what should one believe is truth?

Answer:  When actions conflict with words, then actions are Truth. Bill Neigh is known as ‘the science guy,’ even though he is an engineer, not a scientist.  Well, let’s play that game and see how ‘fair’ the ‘other side’ wants to be when it comes to ‘science’ and Islam.  This video was brought to my attention by a reader of The OYL.  It is about 45 minutes  long, and the Dr. can be a little dry in his delivery, but he uses more ‘science’ to prove that Islamic Jihad caused the Dark Ages than Bill Neigh uses to prove ‘climate change.’  Only, in this video, historical fact, as well as archeology and economics, back-up the argument against Islam.  Bill Neigh cannot claim the same.  In fact, the data is against Bill Neigh and the climate-gate hoaxers.  We know they have had to force what data they have to fit their narrative and fake much more to support their agenda.  Dr. Warner does not have to do that.  All he does is present the facts we have forgotten or were never taught and then ask you to re-consider another understanding of history that is anything but kind to Islam. It also puts the Crusades in proper context to world history.  All-in-all, this is a ‘must see’ for anyone who honestly wants to understand Islam.  So, get yourself a drink, sit back and watch the following video.

How do I convey the depth of my pain to you?  The written word cannot show you the pain on my face nor let you hear the anguish in my voice.  All I can do is tell you that my heart is melting within me for fear of where this nation’s people are heading.  We like to think we are smarter than others, but many nations before us have believed the same thing.  Before God destroyed Israel and sent them into Babylonian captivity, He warned Israel, through the prophet Jeremiah, that they were not as smart as they thought they were.  Actually, in the book of Jeremiah alone, God calls Israel stupid five times, and says they are going to come to ruin because they have no understanding.  In Isaiah 5:20-21, God condemns people who turn reality and truth on their heads.  We may think this all ancient history, and some may even think it little more than myth, but one thing remains true: we have not ‘progressed’ a single step since the ancient times of Israel and her prophets.  The only thing that has changed is the people and places and the lies we tell ourselves, but we are still putting good for evil and evil for good and telling ourselves that those who do not understand this inverting of reality ares imply too stupid to understand our nuance.  It is when a people actually start to believe this sort of madness that insanity rules.  Insanity such as this: Continue reading “At What Point Does Insanity Rule?” →

In recent days, I have been very harsh on Glenn Beck concerning Islam.  In my opinion, Beck has failed to properly educate himself as to what Islam is and what it teaches.  To the extent Beck has researched Islam, I have been even more critical of him for not being honest with his audience.  Well, it may be that an apology is in order as it seems Beck may have finally started down the path to Truth in regard to Islam.  Unfortunately, it took the establishment of the first official Islamic tribunal being announced in Texas to finally get Beck to start down this path.  Yesterday, 9 February 2015, Beck aired an interview with two of the judges from this Islamic tribunal on his TV program (it is essential you read this story and watch the video, as this post assumes you have done so).  For once, Beck seems to be admitting that the problem is Islam (not individual Muslims, but Islam, itself).  However, Beck still has not gone far enough in helping his audience understand the threat of Islam or Shari’a law.  I hope this post will explain why I feel it is essential that everyone in the West know and understand Shari’a law. Many of you who follow my blog may be wondering why I am many other Christians say that Glenn Beck (and Mormons in general) are not Christian.  I can assure you, it is not because I think I can enforce my opinion upon another.  It is because Scripture tells me Mormons are not Christians.  If I were to accept Beck’s reasoning, then I would have to accept the argument that Muslims are Christians as well.  Mormons and Christians both claim to believe in Jesus as the Messiah, so, by this definition, they are ‘Christian.’  But this is no different from any of the attacks Beck has made against ‘Progressives’ for perverting the language to deceive the uniformed listener.  I do not want you to be uniformed, so, if you want to know why I know I am correct when I say Beck is not a Christian, please read the rest of this post. When I first encountered Glenn Beck, I thought the man was a fool.  At the time, he was still mixing his brand of humor in with the ‘news’ he presented on his show.  I’m sure this had something to do with my opinion of him, but I did pay attention to what he was saying.  Many people miss this about me: I pay more attention than they realize, I am just quick to dismiss most of what I hear or read.  But I couldn’t just dismiss the information Beck was presenting, so I set out to find the ‘proof’ I needed to disprove him.  Long story short, I couldn’t find that ‘proof’ because it doesn’t exist.  Instead, I discovered Beck is not sharing the scariest parts of what he knows with his audience.  This is why I came to respect Glenn Beck: because he pushed me into actually applying my education to investigate things for myself.  In short, he got me up off my lazy butt.  Unfortunately for Beck, it also put me on a path that would eventually lead me to discover that he is hiding a secret message or ‘code’ in the things he is telling his audience. If you follow my posts, then you know I disagree with Glenn Beck on matters of faith and the true nature of God.  You will also know that I believe this is the reason Beck does not understand Islam.  Well, today may have been the last straw for me.  Beck continues to tell his audience that those Muslims who are killing in the name of Allah have perverted Islam.  OK, Mr. Beck, I have a reply to you.  You are not going to get to heaven through your works.  You will never become a god.  In fact, everything you believe is false.  It is just your interpretation of what Joseph Smith said.  Now, if we had Mr. beck here, I know he would disagree with this, he would say I am perverting his religion.  But this is exactly what Beck is doing to those Muslims who are following Muhammad’s commands.  So, if Mr. Beck is going to be a Progressive in terms of religion — especially Islam — then I no longer have reason to trust he can see the difference in any other aspect of this world. I know that there are many who think I ‘hate’ Mormons and Muslims.  Glenn Beck is one of these people.  This is not my ‘opinion,’ but Glenn’s own words.  He has spent several long segments on his various shows explaining that anyone who disagrees with him as to what is and is not true about God ‘hates’ him.  He has said pretty much the same thing about anyone who disagrees with Islam: if I do not accept those Beck calls ‘good’ Muslims (i.e. not actively engaged in jihad), then I ‘hate’ Muslims.  Neither is true.  I love both Mormons and Muslims, but it is an agape love.  This means I do not agree with someone if I believe they are wrong; I try to offer correction.  To this end, I was going to write a post about the many historic similarities between Muhammad/Islam and Joseph Smith/Mormonism.  However, I found a post that has already done this, and — in my opinion — did it better than I could have.  So, for those who want to educate themselves, I highly recommend you read: Continue reading “AGENDAS: The Similarities between Islam and Mormonism” →

On his radio show, on Feb 2, 2015, at 0949 EST (the first hour of his show), Glenn Beck said that all of God’s people need to stand together — then went on to say that all religions belong to God’s people.  THIS IS EVIL BECAUSE THIS IS A LIE!  Do not listen to him. Reject anyone and everyone who tells you that all gods of the world are the same.  This means reject Glenn Beck, too — at least on this issue.  Beck is excellent at teaching history, but he is extremely dangerous on matters of God and faith.  No matter what faith you are, DO NOT LISTEN TO GLENN BECK ON MATTERS OF GOD AND FAITH!  Now, I understand this is a harsh stance, and that many will reject me for taking it, so let me explain why I am trying to warn you away from anyone who claims all gods are the same. Words and phrases describe or trigger thoughts and beliefs in our minds.  Thoughts, beliefs, conceptualizations from our knowledge based in education, learning and experiences.  Words trigger all kinds of good or bad responses and feelings.  For example, one could use the phrase a “polar wind” instead of a “north wind.”  A “north wind” brings to mind “chilly” or “cold” weather requiring a windbreaker or “hoodie”.  However a “polar wind” brings images of snow, ice, freezing temperatures that require a parka with boots and gloves.

I was thinking about labels and trying to think of a new term I could use to describe people who oppose individual rights and liberty for others.  While I was thinking about this, I remembered the many people who have — in the past — objected to being ‘labeled.’  Sadly, these people do not understand that, without labels, communication is impossible.  Every word you are reading is a label.  Every word you speak is a label.  In fact, every hand gesture you make is a label.    You see, we seldom bother to think past the surface, so we are seldom conscious of the fact that form and function are what define; words are just descriptive labels we assign to represent those forms and function.  This is how labels make communication possible.  In their most basic form, labels are just symbols that convey commonly understood concepts or ideas. But there are rules governing the proper use of labels and labels only work when people use them according to these rules.  When people reject these rules and act as though they are free to make up whatever rules they wish, while we may still be using the same labels, communication breaks down.  This is what has been happening to us for some time now.  It is just another form of lawlessness, and lawlessness always leads to destruction and/or tyranny. I had a comment from a reader claiming that their filter warned them that this blog is unsafe.  If you ever get such a warning, I assure you, it has nothing to do with me or anything on my end.  Rather, I would suspect that the warning applies to the religious and/or political content on this page.  I am aware that some governments have started doing this.  In America, our government doesn’t have to do it: the majority of internet companies, providers and browsers are already of like mind, so they add the warnings without any law being needed.  Now, the person who left this comment did not use a screen name, so I marked their post as SPAM.  Still, I wanted to make sure I addressed the accusation — in case others out there have encountered something similar.

I went to see the latest Hobbit movie with my family today.  As we drove home, I started thinking about the sacrifices made by the characters in the movie, and the motivation behind them.  Then, shortly after we got home, my wife told me that she had read where Clint Eastwood has apparently came out and said American Sniper and Letters from Iwo Jima are both supposed to be anti-war movies.  Now I realize that — at first — it may not seem like The Battle of Five Armies and Eastwood’s anti-war movies might have anything in common, but when they are taken together, they remind us of a powerful truth — a truth that is essential to the survival of every culture, but also to mankind in general.  Sadly, much of the Western world has not forgotten this truth, it has consciously rejected it and, unless we wake to our mistake, the consequences are inevitable.
