When I first encountered Glenn Beck, I thought the man was a fool.  At the time, he was still mixing his brand of humor in with the ‘news’ he presented on his show.  I’m sure this had something to do with my opinion of him, but I did pay attention to what he was saying.  Many people miss this about me: I pay more attention than they realize, I am just quick to dismiss most of what I hear or read.  But I couldn’t just dismiss the information Beck was presenting, so I set out to find the ‘proof’ I needed to disprove him.  Long story short, I couldn’t find that ‘proof’ because it doesn’t exist.  Instead, I discovered Beck is not sharing the scariest parts of what he knows with his audience.  This is why I came to respect Glenn Beck: because he pushed me into actually applying my education to investigate things for myself.  In short, he got me up off my lazy butt.  Unfortunately for Beck, it also put me on a path that would eventually lead me to discover that he is hiding a secret message or ‘code’ in the things he is telling his audience. If you follow my posts, then you know I disagree with Glenn Beck on matters of faith and the true nature of God.  You will also know that I believe this is the reason Beck does not understand Islam.  Well, today may have been the last straw for me.  Beck continues to tell his audience that those Muslims who are killing in the name of Allah have perverted Islam.  OK, Mr. Beck, I have a reply to you.  You are not going to get to heaven through your works.  You will never become a god.  In fact, everything you believe is false.  It is just your interpretation of what Joseph Smith said.  Now, if we had Mr. beck here, I know he would disagree with this, he would say I am perverting his religion.  But this is exactly what Beck is doing to those Muslims who are following Muhammad’s commands.  So, if Mr. Beck is going to be a Progressive in terms of religion — especially Islam — then I no longer have reason to trust he can see the difference in any other aspect of this world. I know that there are many who think I ‘hate’ Mormons and Muslims.  Glenn Beck is one of these people.  This is not my ‘opinion,’ but Glenn’s own words.  He has spent several long segments on his various shows explaining that anyone who disagrees with him as to what is and is not true about God ‘hates’ him.  He has said pretty much the same thing about anyone who disagrees with Islam: if I do not accept those Beck calls ‘good’ Muslims (i.e. not actively engaged in jihad), then I ‘hate’ Muslims.  Neither is true.  I love both Mormons and Muslims, but it is an agape love.  This means I do not agree with someone if I believe they are wrong; I try to offer correction.  To this end, I was going to write a post about the many historic similarities between Muhammad/Islam and Joseph Smith/Mormonism.  However, I found a post that has already done this, and — in my opinion — did it better than I could have.  So, for those who want to educate themselves, I highly recommend you read: Continue reading “AGENDAS: The Similarities between Islam and Mormonism” →

On his radio show, on Feb 2, 2015, at 0949 EST (the first hour of his show), Glenn Beck said that all of God’s people need to stand together — then went on to say that all religions belong to God’s people.  THIS IS EVIL BECAUSE THIS IS A LIE!  Do not listen to him. Reject anyone and everyone who tells you that all gods of the world are the same.  This means reject Glenn Beck, too — at least on this issue.  Beck is excellent at teaching history, but he is extremely dangerous on matters of God and faith.  No matter what faith you are, DO NOT LISTEN TO GLENN BECK ON MATTERS OF GOD AND FAITH!  Now, I understand this is a harsh stance, and that many will reject me for taking it, so let me explain why I am trying to warn you away from anyone who claims all gods are the same. I was thinking about labels and trying to think of a new term I could use to describe people who oppose individual rights and liberty for others.  While I was thinking about this, I remembered the many people who have — in the past — objected to being ‘labeled.’  Sadly, these people do not understand that, without labels, communication is impossible.  Every word you are reading is a label.  Every word you speak is a label.  In fact, every hand gesture you make is a label.    You see, we seldom bother to think past the surface, so we are seldom conscious of the fact that form and function are what define; words are just descriptive labels we assign to represent those forms and function.  This is how labels make communication possible.  In their most basic form, labels are just symbols that convey commonly understood concepts or ideas. But there are rules governing the proper use of labels and labels only work when people use them according to these rules.  When people reject these rules and act as though they are free to make up whatever rules they wish, while we may still be using the same labels, communication breaks down.  This is what has been happening to us for some time now.  It is just another form of lawlessness, and lawlessness always leads to destruction and/or tyranny. I had a comment from a reader claiming that their filter warned them that this blog is unsafe.  If you ever get such a warning, I assure you, it has nothing to do with me or anything on my end.  Rather, I would suspect that the warning applies to the religious and/or political content on this page.  I am aware that some governments have started doing this.  In America, our government doesn’t have to do it: the majority of internet companies, providers and browsers are already of like mind, so they add the warnings without any law being needed.  Now, the person who left this comment did not use a screen name, so I marked their post as SPAM.  Still, I wanted to make sure I addressed the accusation — in case others out there have encountered something similar.

I went to see the latest Hobbit movie with my family today.  As we drove home, I started thinking about the sacrifices made by the characters in the movie, and the motivation behind them.  Then, shortly after we got home, my wife told me that she had read where Clint Eastwood has apparently came out and said American Sniper and Letters from Iwo Jima are both supposed to be anti-war movies.  Now I realize that — at first — it may not seem like The Battle of Five Armies and Eastwood’s anti-war movies might have anything in common, but when they are taken together, they remind us of a powerful truth — a truth that is essential to the survival of every culture, but also to mankind in general.  Sadly, much of the Western world has not forgotten this truth, it has consciously rejected it and, unless we wake to our mistake, the consequences are inevitable. I had to step out of a ‘debate’ over gun control today.  I have gotten better at doing this.  I still cannot handle irrational and intellectually dishonest people, but at least I have learned to step away from them.  However, I learned something very important thanks to this ‘debate.’  Maybe ‘learned’ is not the best word, as I have known about and its connection to helping tyrants rise to power for a while.  What made this discussion different is how clearly I saw the problem, and how well I understood how and why it works.  This time, I came face-to-face with the primary factor needed to establish tyranny. This may be a short post, but I hope you will understand the magnitude and scope of what it means for America (and the Western world in general).  You may not have heard, or even care, but the media is going after the New England Patriots football team over alleged rules violations concerning the air pressure in the balls they used in last week’s game.  There have been calls for their coach to be fired and even jailed.  In one interview, a reporter openly questioned the coach’s character to his face.  All of this concern is over something as trivial as an accusation that a team broke a rule in a football game.  Yet, these same media people who want to throw someone in jail for breaking a rule — not a law, a rule — these same people don’t give a second thought to the President of the United States not only breaking the law, but publicly boasting about it.  Now, ask yourself, what sort of society can continue when it does not care about its leaders breaking the supreme law of the land, but makes a national crisis out of an allegation over a rule in a game?  Or more importantly, what does it say about us, as individuals?  Continue reading “A Sure Sign of Social Decay” →

Progressives (American Liberals), Fascists, Communists, Marxists  and Socialists all stress the State over the individual.  So, for the sake of discussion, I will refer to these groups as Statists.  Islam also stresses the collective over the individual.  If I remember correctly, the Islamic term for the collective is Umma.  Now, you may have already noticed that Statists and Islam both stress the collective over the individual, but this is a given.  I assume everyone who is paying attention already understands this.  No, I want to call your attention to another similarity between these groups, and it is a similarity that — if any one of these groups succeeds — must end in tyranny for the entire human race. Our President can’t seem to call what happened in France today a terrorist attack.  Well, this may come as a surprise to some, but I agree with him.  It was not a terrorist attack, and neither was the Fort Hood shooting or even the 9/11 attack.  They are all acts of war — a holy war!  This is not my ‘opinion:’ it is a matter of fact.  I know it is a fact because I know what Muhammad said to his followers.  Muhammad started and defined Islam, so he is the ultimate — and in this case — soul authority on Islam and Muhammad commanded holy war until there is nothing left but Islam.  By definition, that means we have been in a state of holy war with Islam since before Muhammad died.  Unless we wake to this fact and start treating it as what it is, we will loose this war.  Unfortunately, too many people would rather accept the lies they are told by our leaders, media and Muslims.  So, I have taken the time to put together everything a rational person needs to decide whether or not I am telling the truth, and it all comes directly from Muhammad or ‘official’ Islamic holy texts. On this, the day we celebrate The Savior’s birth, I thought I might try to answer one of the most often cited objections to the Judeo/Christian faith: that there is only one way to God.  I do not claim that I can ‘prove’ any of what follows, nor am I trying to imply that we can reason our way to accept any of it.  We are saved by faith and faith alone, and only faith can affirm the Truth of what I am about to say.  However, that having been said, there are rational reasons for why there should be only one way to come into God’s presence, and why that One Way is Jesus, Christ.  If you will give me a few moments of your time, I might be able to help you see things from a different perspective and — if the Holy Spirit wills it — it may even help you see the Truth. [NOTE: this one is long, but it is also important and complicated, so I took the time to make my case as best I could.  If you stay with it, I believe it may help you see the issues a bit more clearly.  If not…  Well, in that case, you either don’t care, or you are part of the problem — as I once was (and may still be)]

I am just going to assume that the majority of us can agree that racism is wrong, but I wonder whether or not we can agree that there are two types of racism, and that government should only be involved in one of them?  I got these two types of racism from a respected friend.  They are ‘institutional’ racism, where prejudice and discrimination based on race are built into a society’s laws; and ‘personal’ racism, where that same prejudice and discrimination based on race is a part of a persona’s character.  There is a proper role for government in the first type of racism (‘institutional‘), but there is absolutely no role for government or force in the second.  This is because the second type of racism (‘personal‘) is a heart issue, and any time people start using government to force a change of heart, we have crossed the line of playing God.  Then, to make this situation even more confusing, we need to understand that things we sometimes think are the result of racism are actually due to another form of bigotry that has nothing to do with race at all: cultural bigotry.  We get confused over the difference here because we equate race with culture, but they are not the same and I hope you’ll let me tell you a little story to illustrate the difference. Are you Pro TEA Party or Pro Tyranny, Slavery/Indentured Servitude, Lawlessness and Licentiousness?  Yes, I understand that it is fallacious to argue “You’re either for me or against me”  — except when there are only two sides to an issue.  You can either be for liberty or control; for the law or lawlessness; for slavery or servitude; for morality of licentiousness.  You cannot be ‘neutral’ on these issues.  There is no “I support the law and lawlessness at the same time.”  By definition, such a position is lawlessness — especially when we are discussing Natural Law (as we are now).  So, when it comes to the TEA Party agenda, which are you: for them, or for Tyranny, Slavery, Lawlessness and Licentiousness?  Think I am wrong?  Then read this post and then tell me if you still think I’m wrong. Like my post on ‘Tolerance vs. Acceptance,’ this is another post where it is necessary to read carefully and think through the point(s) I am trying to make because, as in the other post, we are dealing with a force that is actively trying to change society by manipulating language.  The concept is easy: if you can control the language, you can control what and how people think.  Do not doubt that this is the thinking behind the confusion in our language today.  I can show you the people who said that this is exactly what they wanted to do and how they intended to do it: to direct human evolution by manipulating the language.  And those people are the founders of what we now call the Liberal/Progressive movement.  They are largely responsible for many of today believing that ‘justice’ and ‘fairness’ are the same thing.  They are not, and we need to understand the difference between the two concepts these words represent. It is common place to hear people talk about loving each other.  The majority of them seem to think that this is the answer to the majority of our problems, and I would tend to agree with them.  After all, as a Christian, I am commanded to love my neighbor — and my enemy!  But this is where I believe most people in our society miss the point.  They do not understand what the Bible means when it tells us to love each other as ourselves because they do not know about or understand the different types of love mentioned in the bible.
