Look, I understand that we live in a cynical world filled with skeptics, conspiracy theorists and people who are clinically unstable. I am even aware that many people would place me in one of these three groups. That’s why I am unsure how you will take this post. In fact, I fear you may not even read it. But I don’t care anymore. I feel such a pressing urgency to warn those who will listen and hear that I have to write this post. For those who need more reason to trust what I have to say, I will leave an editorial note at the end of this post. But, for now, I beg you: please, read this post and give it some serious consideration. Try to see the connections between the stories I will link you to and the narrative I am trying to explain. TRUTH: Why We ALL need a Personal Savior

I don’t know if you believe in God or not, but let’s assume you either don’t believe in Him, or you have serious doubts.  Do me a favor and — just for a moment — assume that God is real.  Just pretend that He exists and that He is omnipotent.  This means that God is ‘perfect.’  At the same time, we know that no human is perfect, so we are going to break God’s laws — we’re going to sin.  Now, if God is perfect, and we are all sinners, then God cannot allow us into His presence.  If He did, He would not be perfect.  This is why those who believe in God say you and I need a Savior: someone to redeem our sins.  Now, assume God loves you.  In fact, assume God is love.  Why would you need a savior if God is love and omnipotent? Couldn’t He just forgive everything you do simply because He loves you?  No, He can’t!  If He did, then He would not be love.  Let me explain (this is important). My ‘Problem’ with Glenn Beck

Many of my most recent posts have contained some harsh words for Glenn Beck.  There was a time, on a different blog site, when many of those who considered themselves my allies would have accused me of being a Glenn Beck sycophant — and they would have had more than a little reason to consider such accusations justified.  I admit it: I used to be in almost total agreement with Beck.  But that was before I started reading my Bible.  Still, I need to thank Beck for that.  Had it not been for him, I may not have done so.  You see, as much as I liked and agreed with him, I couldn’t justify his religion with his words, so I turned to the Bible to find the answer.  What I found has caused me to step back a little from him, and to pray for him even more than I already had. Beck Doubles Down on His Ignorance Of Islam (and even Christianity)

Beck did it again.  Today, he took an incident that happened in Deerborne, Michigan, in which some fifty Muslims spoke out and called ISIS evil and not following the teachings of Muhammad and claimed that this represented ‘true’ Islam.  Let me say this as clearly as I can — as one who has actually read the Qur’an, much of the Hadith, “Guidance for the Traveler (the source of Shari’a law) and the official biography of Muhammad — the five Muslim holy books.  Beck is wrong! The Spirit of Antichrist

This post is written mostly for those who claim to belong to the Lord, and who have a Biblical worldview.  Unfortunately, those who neither follow the Lord’s commands or know His word will likely get very little from this post.  In fact, this post is about those who do not know and follow the Lord’s commands.  This post is about the spirit of antichrist.  But I’ll caution those who think the antichrist is an actual person who will rise up in the end times.  I no longer believe this is what Scripture actually teaches us.  I did something that too few of us do anymore: I actually read God’s word and, when I did, I discovered that it says something very different than what I had been told it said.  That revelation has caused me to look at myself and the things I believe and do very differently.  This is why I am writing this post: that you may be lead to read God’s word for yourself, and — hopefully — will understand it the same way I now do, and that it will cause you to look at yourself anew, as well. Glenn Beck Joins the Ranks of the Willful Idiots

Today, Wednesday, September 10; on his radio show; at about the 8:35+ mark, CST: Glenn Beck told the world that, when it comes to Islam, he is a willful idiot.  The reason: he is bowing to the pressure of political correctness.  It’s just that it is under a different form.  In this case, Beck is trying to keep from being seen as someone who condemns all members of a religion.  But make no mistake: however you slice this issue, denying the truth is denying the truth — and Beck is denying the truth.  Here are the specifics. Where did all the ‘Real’ Americans go?

I have been watching Obama grow more and more lawless, and I have been wondering: where id all the ‘real‘ Americans go?  As I watch the events unfolding in this nation, I can’t help but think that we are wasting the worldly sacrifice of our founding fathers as much as we waste the spiritual sacrifice of our Savior.  When I think of our founders — of ‘real’ Americans — I think of men and women who understood that there are things greater than ourselves.  I think of men and women who were so committed to the principles of liberty that they were willing to die for it.  I think of the Greatest Generation — those men and women who fought WW II — and I see they still had that understanding of liberty, and were still willing to sacrifice to preserve it.  But, since about 1948, that understanding and willingness has disappeared.  Today, we may talk of liberty, but we are more concerned with our own comfort than the principle of liberty.  But then, I shouldn’t expect anything less.  Man is a rebellious creature, seeing and worrying only about himself.  That’s our nature.  It is only when we are reborn and God changes us that our nature changes — and even then, it is not we but God who makes the change.  Continue reading “Where did all the ‘Real’ Americans go?”

In order to understand “Right” and/or “Privilege”, one must understand their individual definitions and then compare and contrast them.  My previous post has Webster’s 1828 definition of “Right”.

Is a privilege something we are all born with?  Is privilege something that is given to us by others: men, or governments?

Can every individual be granted and enjoy the same, or equal, privilege at the same time?

In a nation where “all men are created equal”, can privileges exist justly?

ISLAM: What the West does not Know or Understand

Have you been watching the current events in the Middle East?  Do you understand what this is all about?  You may think you do, but the chances are that you don’t.  Now, before you get upset with me and think I am being arrogant, please hear me.  I am saying this with love and compassion for those who have been deceived by our Western leaders and media.  We have been lied to about Islam, but you cannot understand why they have lied to us or what is going on in the Middle East until you know the truth about Islam.  I did not understand the Middle East, either — not until I spent a year reading and studying the Muslim holy books.  Until you do this, you will not understand that what is happening in the Middle East goes all the way back to the Biblical characters of Isaac and Ishmael and Biblical prophecy.  That’s right: what is happening now in the Middle East is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.  Now, I do not claim to know or understand everything that is happening in the Holy land today, but I do have a better understanding of the role Islam is playing than the average person in the West, and I want to help you understand it, too.
