Beware of ‘Christians’ Who Claim Allah is Yahweh!

My heart broke today.  I saw this picture on the wall of a good friend, a friend who claims to believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  He was promoting this picture as a means of fighting ignorance.  And while I understand my friend’s intentions, I also know that most people will not.  To them, the  implication will be that  Allah and Yahweh are one.  THIS IS A LIE!

If you call yourself a Christian, you need to be crystal clear about your understanding of this issue.  I am not addressing the individuals within Islam.  I am dealing with the teachings of the religion, and the claim that Allah is Yahweh is a lie!  If you have any doubts about this, then please, pay close attention.

1st — this meme is correct: ‘madrasah‘ is an Arabic word, and it does mean ‘school,’ or, more accurately, ‘a place or teaching/learning.’  However, if you are in a Muslim nation under Shari’ah law, the only thing that will be taught at the madrasah is Islam.

Now for the most important part:

Allah’ does not mean ‘god!!!’

Allah is actually a compound word for ‘al ilah,’ which means the god.  What’s more, the word is found in archaeological records going back far earlier than the foundation of Islam.  However, it is not a proper name, and it is not found anywhere in the Old Testament (for more on the origin of Alla).

[ON A RELATED NOTE: ‘Allahu akbar’ actually means Alla is greater, begging the question: Greater than who?]

When Muhammad started his career as a ‘prophet,’ his tribe worshiped some 360 gods.  All of them had an idol or totem associated with them, and these idols were stored in the Kaaba (the black cube of MeccaYes, the Kaaba pre-dates Islam, as well).  What Muhammad tried to do first was to convince the locals that his god was the head god, or chief above all their gods, hence, ‘al ilah‘ (the god, or greater god).  However, the locals were very attached to the three daughters of their moon god, so, in what became known as ‘The Satanic Verses,’ Muhammad originally acknowledged that his Allah had thee daughters.  However, when his first followers threatened to kill him over this, Muhammad quickly recanted, claiming Satan had put these verses in his mouth (and they were removed from the ‘perfect Qur’an).

Now, there are many claims that Allah is a derivative of an Arabic moon god, or that the name can be traced back to the pagan god, Bel, or even Baal.  I do not place much credence in these stories, mainly because I do not have to do so.  We have enough in the Qur’an to prove that Allah is not and cannot be Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

In Surahs 2:87, 29:46, 32:23, 5:44, 6:154 and 6:155, Allah affirms that the Torah (taurat) is correct and reliable.  And in Surahs 2:87, 29:46, 5:68, 29:46 and 43:63, Allah affirms the Gospel of Christ (Injeel).  (The Qur’an even tells Muslims to read the Bible for ‘guidance and light,’ a command that was not abrogated — meaning it is still intact).

Here, the Qur’an affirms the Old and New testaments:

Qur’an Surah 5:68

Say: “O People of the Book! [Bible] ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law (Torah), the Gospel (Injeel), and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord.”

And here, Allah tells Muslims not to question the authority of the scriptures of the Christians, saying,

Qur’an Surah 29:46

“And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, but say, “We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one;

Now, if you know the Bible, you know that God has sworn that He does not change, and that once He makes an oath, He will not break His promise.  You also know that God cannot lie.  Yet, Allah claims that he can change his mind, break his promises and that he is the greatest of deceivers (which is a lie by another name).  Now, the Bible came first, the Qur’an affirmed it, then the Qur’an contradicts it.  This places the Bible in direct contradiction to the Qur’an, which means that Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, cannot be Allah.

But more than this, the Bible speaks of God’s Son from Genesis to revelation.  Yet, in the Qur’an, Allah claims there is no son and Christ is not God. In fact, Allah says that Christ is not the Son of Yahweh, that He was not crucified, He did not die, He was not buried, and He did not rise from the dead.  Now, according to the Apostle, John, this is the very essence of Antichrist.  Therefore, once again, it is impossible for Allah to be Yahweh, and anyone who claims that he is bears false witness against Yahweh and His Son.

[NOTE: there are countless such examples of the Qur’an’s contradicting the Bible, as well as factual mistakes within the Qur’an that would testify against it as being the word of Yahweh.  I have merely provided a few examples here for the sake of brevity.]

It is crucial that Christians understand this.  Allah is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!  In fact, anyone who defends Islam is defending Satan.    If you follow Yah’Shua (Jesus), you must understand the difference here, lest you be deceived and inadvertently accept the mark of the beast.
