I have held back on writing this post for a while. This is because we live in troubling times, and I am feeling a growing pressure to make sure I not only write more deliberately, but also with the utmost of care. Still, I must write. If I do not, I will be burned up from within myself. I feel the command to address the things I see that strongly. So, with the full knowledge that I am about to anger a great many people, many of them friends and family, I write now for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. This current Pope, Francis, is clearly displaying the Spirit of Anti-Christ in his deeds and his actions. And I can say this with absolute certainty because I know God’s Word, and I know how God’s Word tells us we will know the spirit of others:
Matthew 7:16 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
16 You will [a]know them by their fruits. [b]Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
Now, before I go on, let me make this very clear: I am not judging or condemning Pope Francis, the man. What I am saying is that many of his words and deeds are of the Spirit of Anti-Christ. This, in itself, does not condemn a person. If it did, then why would Jesus have chosen Peter to lead His church after He called Peter Satan?
Matthew 16:23 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on [a]God’s interests, but man’s.”
So let’s understand each other: I am not attacking the man, but the things the man has said and done — just as Christ did to Peter when Peter lost focus on what truly matters to those who claim to follow Christ. Now, with that said, let me address some of the things that I have noticed the Pope saying or doing that have caused me to believe Pope Francis is under the influence of the Spirit of Anti-Christ.
First and most alarmingly, there is this recent video in which the Pope says Jesus failed at the cross:
OK, as another blogger pointed out, context is everything, and there are ways that the Pope could have said Jesus failed at the cross without stepping off of sound doctrine. However, he doesn’t explain this statement into any such context. He says the words and moves on to a different subject. This leaves us with the logical conclusion that he said what he meant and meant what he said. Whether you believe in the Bible or not, to claim that Christ failed at the cross is Biblically defined as the Spirit of Anti-Christ.
There is more evidence to support that the Pope is under the Spirit of Anti-Christ. I keep finding stories that the Pope has said the Bible and Qur’an are the same, but I have never found the speech where he says this. Like I said earlier, I am trying to write more deliberately and cautiously, so I am doing my best to check everything before I post it. I do not want to lead others astray — especially when it comes to matters of eternal consequence. However, when I found the next two video clips (which I confirmed from several sources), I finally decided that — even if he did not say so specifically — the Pope does not see the difference between the Bible and the Qur’an:
To call the Qur’an ‘holy’ is to say it is of God — the One True God. To call the Qur’an ‘prophetic’ is to place it on the same level as the Bible. But the two are not equal, and Allah is not Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Only one of them can be the One True God. The other is a false god. How can we know which is the false god? The Bible — written long before the Qur’an — explains it clearly, and Allah is the false god. So, by calling the Qur’an ‘holy,’ and by kissing it, the Pope is showing — by word and deed — that he sees the Qur’an as being equal to the Bible. Since the Qur’an denies the Divinity of Christ, this is an act of blaspheme by the Pope, and the very definition of Anti-Christ.
Then there is this information which ends any doubt as to whether or not the Pope is of the Spirit of Anti-Christ:
There is so much wrong in that three-minute clip. First, Christ, Himself, teaches us we are to have a personal relationship with the Father through Him, and that He makes it possible. Second, the Church is defined by Christ. It is not the buildings or the hierarchy of the Catholic religion, but the body of all redeemed believers (the saved). This is what the re-occurring theme of the bride and bride groom is all about: Christ is the Bride Groom and the Church — all believers — is the bride. What the Pope is saying here stands in direct contradiction to the teachings of Jesus Christ. By telling people they need the Church to get to God, the Pope is putting people back under the law, and Christ’s chosen Apostle, Paul, tells us specifically that we are not to do this. Disciples of Christ are not under the law. Nor are we to call anyone — especially a priest or the Pope — ‘father.’ This is a command from Christ, Himself:
Matthew 23:9 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
There is much more to be concerned about with this Pope, such as his refusal to address abortion, the slaughter of the believers in the Middle East or even a mention of the name of Christ when he addressed Congress. But he managed to find time to advance the un-Biblical notion of socialism, to trumpet a Communist Catholic as a hero and to advocate lawlessness in direct violation of Roman’s 13 where illegal aliens are concerned. I could go on, but it shouldn’t be necessary.
I leave you with a final thought: all who belong to God should see the warning signs in the words and deeds of Pope Francis. Those who do not will never see them, not unless the Lord opens their hearts. So, if you do not see the signs of Anti-Christ is what the Pope has been saying and doing, that should concern you greatly: not because I say so, but because the Scriptures say that it is a strong indication that you are not of God. Now, if you believe in God but do not see the clear sign of Anti-Christ, I should think that would scare you to the very core of your soul. After all, the demons believe in God, but I’m not so sure they see their own rebellion…

I understand the RNL is a political blog page, but I thought that, since he has decided to abandon faith and cross over into politics…
Ohhhh my….my friend! I need to go back through your post and watch those additional videos!
I did a blog post about Francis’ speech and was absolutely astounded at what he said regarding Jesus and “the failure of the cross.” I hope you will read it. I am putting up a link to your blog because you have shared additional important information and proof of Francis’ reprobate theology!
What Did Pope Francis Say?
UGH!!! It’s even worse than I ever thought regarding the heresy and apostasy of this pope! The Koran…a book of peace? No!!! And his claim that having a “personal relationship with Jesus Christ is dangerous???” How so?
No wonder he and 0zero get along so well! They share the same anti-Christ ideologies…all these “isms”….Islamism, socialism, communism, social justicism! Did I leave any out? Oh yeah…NWO globalism, extreme environmentalism, the madness of man-made climate change!
I am convinced that 0zero let this pope speak because he agrees with his liberal leftist lunatic policies!
All of the mass of humanity that showed up at these pope events are probably unaware of the fact that they are being duped into believing LIES and an awful false gospel! Such a terrible shame…
Well, you know, Christ said the world will hate us for His name. So if the world loves the Pope…
Do the math 😦
Yes…unfortunately those who are “of the world” will follow after lies and want to have “their ears tickled” as it says in Scripture.
I am wondering…did not ONE Catholic in the media today catch and comment on what Francis said? Fox News has lots of news reporters and commentators who happen to be Catholic. Have any of them spoken out about that horrible sentence in the pope’s speech?
Fox News also had a special this weekend about “Losing Faith in America” – or something like that. I watched most of it, but the ending was truly sad. It was about a “popular” Catholic church that has a large homosexual congregation. The head of this particular church did say that “being homosexual is not a sin, but the acts are.” OK…but there are congregants there who admit participating in such acts, yet no one (including the pastor there) warns them of not confessing and repenting of this particular sin?
Jesus often spoke of being in the world, but not of it. He told us that He is the light of the world. He told us that those who follow Him shall not walk in darkness. He told us that those “who are of the world would love its own.” The Father has given us to Jesus, and we are encouraged to keep God’s Word. Jesus prayed to keep His own from the evil one. We will one day behold His glory! We will one day be with Him – where He is!
Jhn 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Jhn 9:5
“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
Jhn 15:19
“If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Jhn 17:6
“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
Jhn 17:14
“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Jhn 17:15
“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
Jhn 17:16
“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Jhn 17:24
“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Spot on. I watched very little of the satanic side show but one thing stands out more than anything.
How easy it is for megalomaniacs to control the majority of citizens of a country.
The Pope twist Biblical truth to create his perception of the new Babylon and therein lies the problem. He will be taking millions of souls to Hell with him.
Finally, he does know that humanity (man) is only temporary and at the end of the Millenium there will be no more human beings. Sin will destroy man and the World as we know it long before make believe global warming does. So why lie to millions? Anti-Christ or fool.
Still, chhelo,
This is breaking my heart. I have no idea how to reach the lost. All I know is the Lord is driving me to warn those who will listen. I can no longer stay silent. The compulsion is like a whip on my back. I was sound the alarm from the top of the wall and beg those with eyes and ears to see and hear and act accordingly. I just pray I have not kept quiet for too long 😦
But you ARE doing very well here at this blog via your posts to warn those who will listen! You may not know, this side of heaven, how many of the lost you HAVE reached!
The urgency you are feeling is Spirit led. Look at your stats and see what search terms brought people to your blog each day. Over the past 3 days at my blog, there have been dozens who searched for what the pope said about Jesus and the cross!
Be encouraged, Joe! For the angels rejoice when even just one soul repents and turns to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! If you or I have even led just one soul to Christ, then we have reason to rejoice!
Thank you. Your encouragement heartens me. I appreciate it — more than you may know 🙂
I’m so glad! We all need encouragement these days! I replied to GMpilot’s disparaging remark against you in the comment thread at Talk Wisdom, and I also created a new post about it!
Thanks. I’ll get over there later tonight. I have meetings today, so I am a little tied up at the moment 🙂
Joe,
Hang in there. I still owe you a response to your email. Just been tied up in a lot of family and business issues. None bad just busy.
Just keep righting and posting as I look forward to every one. Not all of us have your ability to put out thoughts into words.
No worries, chhelo. I understand completely. After all, it took me some time to answer you for the same reasons 🙂
Many other parallels could be cited to show that he comes to copy in the very opposite what Christ did. But this will not be so obvious at first because it will be deceptive, he will be substitute a Anti-Christ.
