There were two stories on The Blaze this week that are connected, and together, they represent the most important issue of our time. America is not just turning away from God; we are rejecting Him. Whether you believe in God or not is irrelevant. He exists, and His judgment will not be stayed forever – especially from a nation that has done the one thing God promises will bring His wrath upon the nations.
It started with this story:
Now, there are many reasons America should be returning to God, but this second story is the one that bothers me the most:
God raised this nation up to do one thing: to place Israel back on the map as a nation. We rescued the remnant of His holy people from the Holocaust. Then we were the first to recognize the new State of Israel. Finally, we defended her while she grew strong enough to stand on her own again. But now? Now we have turned against her – so much so that she ius starting to openly say she no longer counts us friend. Why should this bother us? Simple:
Genesis 12:3
New International Reader’s Version (NIRV)
3 I will bless those who bless you.
I will put a curse on anyone who calls down a curse on you.
All nations on earth
will be blessed because of you.”
And for those who think we are doing a good thing by pursuing peace accords that divide Israel and give parts of the holy land to the Palestinians:
Woe to them that divide the Land of Israel
[Note: the author in this link disagrees with me on whether or not those who divide Israel for peace treaties fall under God’s judgment, but I disagree. We must remember that the spirit that seeks to divide God’s holy land is the key here, not just the personage through whom it is put to action. Satan can even work through people who think they are working toward peace. According to my understanding of Scripture, the key is to work for that peace within God’s guidelines, not outside of them or of our own making.]
Therefore, we – especially the Christians among us – should be seeking to support and defend Israel. It is in the best interest of our nation, as well. And for those who think that we have not invited God’s wrath on this nation, before you act on your assumptions, I strongly urge you to read this book and follow up on the events it details. You will find we have already repeated a similar invitation for God’s wrath as one committed by Israel, and we did it step-for-step and word-for-word.

But then, Scripture teaches us that God can use anything as a blessing, as so is this invitation for judgment. It is a blessing because, to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see, it affirms the Scriptures as the inspired Word of God, for how else does one explain the constant repetition of events that are written throughout Scriptural prophecy?
