WARNING!
This post is intended for the education of those who seek the Truth — no matter what that Truth may be. It is wholly unsuited for those who seek to believe in lies.
Here is another fact about Islam that we in the West must understand. If you are listening to or talking to a Muslim, unless you are also a Muslim, you cannot trust them to tell you the truth. Why? Because Muhammad not only gave them permission to lie to unbelievers but, in some cases, he commanded them to do so. In fact, lying is such a part of Islam, there are even two special terms for lying. Here, read what Muhammad had to say about lying.
note: passages in red are from the Qur’an; those in black are from the Sunnah (customs and sayings of Muhammad), the second holiest book in Islam and absolutely necessary to make a religion out of the Qur’an.
Muhammad gave Muslims permission to lie. In some cases, he commanded it. In most cases, this permission is connected to spreading Islam. In others, to protecting a Muslim from harm. There are two types of lying: a direct lie, referred to has taqiyya, and a lie of omission, called kitman. From the Qur’an:
This passage says a Muslim can lie to save themselves — so long as they still believe in their heart and only lie with their mouth (note: it also affirms what I have been telling people, that if a Muslim leaves or renounces Islam, they can be killed by other Muslims).
Qur’an 16:106
Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith – but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty.
This verse tells Muslims not to take non-believers as their friends — unless it is to protect themselves from physical harm. In other words, they are told to lie to and pretend to be friends with non-Muslims — even though they are not supposed to and do not feel that way.
Qur’an 3:28
Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.
I have mentioned that Muhammad said Allah is the greatest of deceivers. Well, here it is, only the Arab word translated here as ‘planned’ is makaru. It does not mean ‘planned;’ it literally means ‘deceit.’ So this passage is saying that Allah is the greatest deceiver. This gives Muslims permission to imitate Allah (especially since Muhammad practiced deceit, and he commanded Muslims to use him as the model of a perfect Muslim life). If a Muslim is allowed to be deceptive toward non-believers, then how can a non-believer ever trust a Muslim?
Qur’an 3:54
And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah.
From the Hadith, this passage claims that war is deceit. The context of this passage refers to the Murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty unarmed men. They were murdered by Muhammad’s men after they had been promised safe passage.
Bukhari 52:269
The Prophet said, “War is deceit.”
In this Hadith, Ali affirms that lying is permitted to deceive the enemy (remember: all non-Muslims are the enemy — but also those who falsely claim to be Muslims).
Pay close attention to this verses. I have told people that Muhammad commanded Muslims to kill those who claim to be Muslims but do not obey Muhammad’s commands. Here is another strong example of that command, only, in this case, Muhammad promised great reward to those Muslims who kill these apostate/hypocrites (i.e. ‘moderate’ Muslims).
Bukhari 84: 64
Whenever I tell you a narration from Allah’s Apostle, by Allah, I would rather fall down from the sky than ascribe a false statement to him, but if I tell you something between me and you (not a Hadith) then it was indeed a trick (i.e., I may say things just to cheat my enemy). No doubt I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “During the last days there will appear some young foolish people who will say the best words but their faith will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have no faith) and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game. So, where-ever you find them, kill them, for who-ever kills them shall have reward on the Day of Resurrection.”
In this Hadith, Muhammad says that those who lie to make peace among the Muslims is not a liar at all. In other words, Muhammad says ‘the ends justify the means.’
Bukhari 49:857
That she heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar.”
Finally, here is another Hadith recounting how Muhammad set the example of lying to spread Islam. It also set the example for killing anyone who insults Muhammad. (note: I included the whole text, so the reader can see the full context — in every detail of the lie that was told so that Muslims could murder a man whose only ‘crime’ was insulting Muhammad).
Bukhari 50:369
Allah’s Apostle said, “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” The Prophet said, “Yes,” Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). “The Prophet said, “You may say it.” Then Muhammad bin Maslama went to Kab and said, “That man (i.e. Muhammad demands Sadaqa (i.e. Zakat) from us, and he has troubled us, and I have come to borrow something from you.” On that, Kab said, “By Allah, you will get tired of him!” Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Now as we have followed him, we do not want to leave him unless and until we see how his end is going to be. Now we want you to lend us a camel load or two of food.” (Some difference between narrators about a camel load or two.) Kab said, “Yes, (I will lend you), but you should mortgage something to me.” Muhammad bin Mas-lama and his companion said, “What do you want?” Ka’b replied, “Mortgage your women to me.” They said, “How can we mortgage our women to you and you are the most handsome of the ‘Arabs?” Ka’b said, “Then mortgage your sons to me.” They said, “How can we mortgage our sons to you? Later they would be abused by the people’s saying that so-and-so has been mortgaged for a camel load of food. That would cause us great disgrace, but we will mortgage our arms to you.” Muhammad bin Maslama and his companion promised Kab that Muhammad would return to him. He came to Kab at night along with Kab’s foster brother, Abu Na’ila. Kab invited them to come into his fort, and then he went down to them. His wife asked him, “Where are you going at this time?” Kab replied, “None but Muhammad bin Maslama and my (foster) brother Abu Na’ila have come.” His wife said, “I hear a voice as if dropping blood is from him, Ka’b said. “They are none but my brother Muhammad bin Maslama and my foster brother Abu Naila. A generous man should respond to a call at night even if invited to be killed.” Muhammad bin Maslama went with two men. (Some narrators mention the men as ‘Abu bin Jabr. Al Harith bin Aus and Abbad bin Bishr). So Muhammad bin Maslama went in together with two men, and sail to them, “When Ka’b comes, I will touch his hair and smell it, and when you see that I have got hold of his head, strip him. I will let you smell his head.” Kab bin Al-Ashraf came down to them wrapped in his clothes, and diffusing perfume. Muhammad bin Maslama said. ” have never smelt a better scent than this. Ka’b replied. “I have got the best ‘Arab women who know how to use the high class of perfume.” Muhammad bin Maslama requested Ka’b “Will you allow me to smell your head?” Ka’b said, “Yes.” Muhammad smelt it and made his companions smell it as well. Then he requested Ka’b again, “Will you let me (smell your head)?” Ka’b said, “Yes.” When Muhammad got a strong hold of him, he said (to his companions), “Get at him!” So they killed him and went to the Prophet and informed him. (Abu Rafi) was killed after Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf.”
So you see: Muslims are not only allowed to lie to us, but in many cases, they are commanded to lie to us — even to the point of pretending to be our friends. This is why, no matter how much we may want to do so, we in the West simply cannot trust a practicing Muslim.
