AGENDAS: Recognizing Totalitarianism in Modern American Society

If you honestly want to understand what is happening to America and how it is being done, one of the three most important ‘secular’ books you can read is George Orwell’s novel, “1984.”  In this novel, the main character, Winston, lives in one of three huge States.  Oceania is a conglomerate of all the English speaking nations of the early 20th Century.  It is run by a governing body referred to as ‘The Party.’  That Party is called Insoc, which derived its name from melding the words English and Socialism.  In “1984,” the Party controls everything and keeps close tabs on every aspect of every citizen’s life to make sure they do exactly as the Party dictates.  Most of the monitoring is done through TV sets that have built in cameras and microphones.  Now, flash forward to today and you will find that ‘The Party’ goes by many names.  In America, it is most commonly called ‘Progressivism,’ or ‘Statism.”  And the monitoring is done through ‘smart TV’ sets that do have cameras in them that watch you watching your TV, but the State also uses every other means of electronic equipment to monitor your every move.  If it is connected to the Internet, Big Brother is Watching!  What does this mean for you?  I’ll explain.

The first thing you have to understand is that Orwell was not writing to warn you against what was coming; he was writing to tell you and I what was going to happen — whether we like it or not.  Then you have to understand that this is not a matter of fiction or conspiracy theory.  “1984” is prophetic.  It foretold exactly what was going to happen.  The only thing it missed is the exact forms by which it would happen, what it would actually look like.  But make no mistake: the goals and methodology in “1984” is very real, and you and I live in the world Orwell was describing.  We just don’t realize it because our history has been altered and/or erased.  For example: If you were taught about the themes of “1984,” then you might notice that the Insoc logo has graced the cover of Newsweek:

Insoc = English Socialism.  NAZI = National Worker’s Socialist Party.  And when Obama was elected, Newsweek had the audacity to just call it Socialism.  It takes many forms, but the goals are the same, as is the spirit driving the people behind each of these ‘Parties.’

The signs are everywhere: they are all around us.  But you have to be educated to see and understand any of them for what they are.  Now, when I say educated, I mean you have to be taught how to think for yourself, and then be made aware of history and how it is connected to the present.  This is the only way you can draw your own conclusions as to what the connections are between the past and the present.  But we are no loner educated.  Instead, we are indoctrinated.  Anyone who thinks for themselves is a threat.  The father of Americas modern public education system said so:

“Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming where everyone is interdependent.”

We have to understand that the goal of those who seek to control other men is power — pure and simple.  They may tell themselves they seek something else, but they lie — to themselves, and to the world.  They seek power for the sake of power.  It is the way it has always been, and it is how it will always be until man no longer rules over other men.  This, too, is explained in “1984.”  From a scene where O’Brian, the Party enforcer who arrests Wilson for the crime of thinking for himself:

The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.

As I said: for any of this to work, they have to keep us from thinking for ourselves.  Anyone who thinks for themselves threatens the hold these people have on their power.  So they keep us fighting among ourselves by focusing our attention of ‘enemies.’  In “10984,” the three major powers are always at war with each other.  At once, this gives the Party an enemy on which to focus the hatred of the masses, as well as an excuse to demand the masses ‘sacrifice.’  This is the same pattern we see when we are divided among Party or racial lines and told to hate the other.  It is also the driving force behind the claim that a crisis should never go to waste.  This is all orchestrated so that we cannot see that we are all the same and the people who claim to be protecting us are the ones from whom we really need to free ourselves.  Once again, from “1984:”

“The citizen of Oceania is not allowed to know anything of the tenets of the other two philosphies, but he is taught to execrate them as barbarous outrages upon morality and common sense. Actually, the three philosophies are barely distinguishable.”

Today, the ‘philosophies’ of the Democrat and Republican Parties are barely distinguishable.  This is because they are one Party pretending to be two.  The evidence is there, we just do not recognize it because our history has been changed and/or erased.  This is why we don’t know our history:

The slogan is an important example of the Party’s technique of using false history to break down the psychological independence of its subjects. Control of the past ensures control of the future, because the past can be treated essentially as a set of conditions that justify or encourage future goals: if the past was idyllic, then people will act to re-create it; if the past was nightmarish, then people will act to prevent such circumstances from recurring. The Party creates a past that was a time of misery and slavery from which it claims to have liberated the human race, thus compelling people to work toward the Party’s goals.

The media, Political Correctness, our schools, the LGBT Agenda, the attacks on Christianity and the Judeo/Christian ethic, the attacks on our founders and their Spiritual foundations — all of these are “1984” in real-world action.  They are all driven by a desire to control all men and the goal of that drive is power for the sake of power.  But the worst thing is that these people who seek to control us believe they are doing so for our own good.  People who think they have to save you will kill you with a clear conscience, and that is the things of which real monsters are made.
