Mr. Beck, I hope you find and read this post. You are being used by Satan. You are giving your voice to Satan and perverting Scripture to do so. I pray you will repent and see that your works-based faith has blinded you tot he Truth of God’s Word.
On his radio show today, April 6, 2015, around 0835is CST, Glenn Beck said the Resurrection is not the true miracle, but the conversion! Beck claimed that the Resurrection does not save, that Baptism does not save, but conversion saves. The implication is that works is what saves, and he used Saul (who is known as Paul) as an example to make his case. I say to you that Beck does not understand the Bible. In fact, he rejects it. But more than that, PAUL SAYS BECK IS TO BE ACCURSED!
When Beck said that the Resurrection is not a miracle and does not save us, he lied! He allowed Satan to use him to deceive and destroy. Beck has been doing this for years: he is destroying with a message of peace. What he is destroying is Spiritual Truth. He is mis-quoting and perverting Scripture. It is because he is a polytheist pagan who perverts the Word of God. He teaches a works-based salvation whereas God’s Word says we are saved by faith and faith alone. Grace is the free, undeserved gift of Salvation. You cannot earn Grace. It is given freely, but only by accepting Christ as your Savior and making Him the Lord of your life. And Christ’s Salvation was made possible only by His death and resurrection.
Beck has not made God the Lord of his life. We can know this to be true by the way he denies God’s Word. He ignores those parts he does not like and perverts those he sees as useful to justifying his gospel. But I have said enough. It is time for me to allow the Apostle Paul to defend himself. First, Beck said that the resurrection is not a miracle nor does it have the power to save. But Paul says:
12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified [a]against God that He raised [b]Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
Here. Paul is clear and forceful: if there is no resurrection — which is a miracle by definition – then there is no salvation. If there is no salvation, there can be no conversion. But more than this, Paul says anyone who preaches otherwise is bearing false witness.
Beck is a Mormon. He does not believe in the Trinity. He is a polytheist: he believes in three gods acting as a god head, not three aspects of the same God as Scripture teaches. Beck also teaches a works-based faith. This is preaching a different Christ and a different Gospel.
But Paul says:
Perversion of the Gospel
6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you [a]by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel [b]contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be [c]accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel [d]contrary to what you received, he is to be [e]accursed!
10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
Do you see that? Paul is saying that not only is Beck to be accursed for spreading his false gospel, but so are the supposed angels who gave their ‘revelations’ to Muhammad and Joseph Smith!!! What’s more, Paul is telling you that he is not saying this for his benefit, but because he is a slave to Christ: he is obeying Christ!
I cannot speak for you, or what you choose to believe, but I know what God’s Word says, and I know that Beck is not teaching God’s Word. He is giving his voice to Satan to teach a false Christ and a false gospel, which Paul says is not a gospel at all. We are saved by the blood of Christ, who was slain for all from the foundation of the world. He died for all who believe on and trust in Him — no matter when they lived, past, present or future. God’s word is clear on this from Genesis to Revelation. Salvation is a free gift, given by Grace. Grace is an un-earned gift. No amount of works or good intentions can ever earn Grace. God is perfect, we are not, and perfect justice will never allow an imperfect sinner to earn his own salvation. This is why Christ died — so that your sins may be forgiven. All you have to do to receive this gift is accept it and accept Christ as your Savior by making Him the Lord of your life. This is the faith that saves, and James tells us that, when you have this saving faith, then works will come naturally. It is not the other way around: you do not do works to receive this faith. Beck has this whole thing wrong.
Please, I beg you, listen to him on matters of history and politics, but reject anything and everything he teaches where God and religion are concerned. In fact, reject me, too. Go to God and read God’s Word for yourself. If you are sincere in your search for understanding, then I am confident you will realize that Paul is correct, and that I am doing my best to stand side-by-side with Paul in faithfully defending God’s Word. I am also convinced that other believers who know God will stand with me, but those who rebel will not.
After Beck , in his own words, Doubled-down on saying those who didn’t agree with Amnesty and his own Dog and Pony show on the border were Bad Christians….or not Christians at all, what little legitimacy he had to speak on Christian matters dissolved into the air.
Don,
I understand that now. It took me a while to figure out how someone can sound as though he is of God and yet be of Satan, but God showed it to me in Scripture. Jesus, Himself, said there will be many of them. They will even work miracles in His name but, on the Day of Judgment, Jesus said He will send them away because they never knew Him…
I have been praying to GOD since i was 7 years old, i beleive that God died for our sins and assended into heaven, i have confessed my sins to god and i am heartfully sorry, but when i read the BIBLE i still worry about going to heaven, i have had a horrible life, i am 76 now, can u please explain
With what little you have told me, I can try to offer a little help. But we are all different people, and without knowing more about you and your story, I can only offer general guidance.
First, I know I am saved, but I still have fear. Scripture tells us there is such a thing as a healthy fear of God. If you do not fear Him, then the chances are you never made Him Lord of your life.
That said, I would need to know more specifics about the nature of your fear. I do not think a public forum is best for that. My email is in the right hand margin. Scroll down, you will find it. Email direct and I will help any way I can.
In the mean time, have you read this post? It may have some answers:
UNDERSTANDING SCRIPTURE: Do You Believe in the Creator or the Lord?
DON …. Don here.
So sorry to hear about your horrible 69 year “ordeal”. I am sure it had nothing to do with anything you did or didn’t do. I’m sure it was ’cause of other people and “things outside of your control”.
Hope I have helped alleviate any self-doubts you may have had about others’ complicity in your misery.
