How Control Of Education Is Used To Lie To Our Children About The 2nd Amendment
This story is a clear example of how an ignorant population works to the benefit of the ruling elite:
Textbook version: “The people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.”
Actual 2nd Amendment: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Did you catch the sleight of hand?
I will not mix words on this story, either. This is an intentional lie, designed to serve a political agenda favorable to a strong central government. This makes it propaganda. It is being conducted by the government on impressionable students by force of law. This makes it indoctrination. It is also being done to take away the rights of the American people in the minds of the people in general. That makes this subversion. All together, this is tyranny.
I will openly admit that this story enrages me, so I will simply allow our founders to condemn the people behind this story:
Arms in the hands of individual citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defence of the country, the over-throw of tyranny, or in private self-defense.
The said constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.
But if circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude, that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people, while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in discipline and use of arms, who stand ready to defend their rights.
–Alexander Hamilton (NOTE: Hamilton was saying the private citizen should be as well armed as the military might be)
“Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?”
What country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.
–Thomas Jefferson (NOTE: this statement pre-supposes the people possess arms at least equal to those in the hands of the government)
A government that does not trust it’s law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is itself unworthy of trust.
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed and well regulated militia being the best security of a free country; but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render military service in person.
–James Madison (NOTE: this defines the militia as the general citizenry, not the Army of the National Guard)
